To obtain a better energy protection force ratio than the cylindrical fenders, the arch fenders were introduced for all types of applications. Easy installment and nearly free of maintenance the arch fenders mostly are used for small to medium range ships.
The arch fenders are by compression molding under very high load in single piece with steel insert plates in capsulated in the legs to fit them well to structures.
These arch fenders have got very good shear resistance also arch fenders do not require tension and shear chains, also not if applied with frontal pads.
The rubber compound developed for the arch fenders are having optimal resistance for WiVi; ozone aging, sea water and extreme climate conditions.
